  Join the Electric League of Missouri & Kansas in making a meaningful impact through our community service project with Giving the Basics. Together, we'll help provide essential hygiene products to local families and individuals in need. This hands-on volunteer opportunity is a chance to give back, strengthen our community, and make a difference in the lives of others. We invite you to be part of this rewarding experience and help support our community.

  Need to know

  It is a requirement that every volunteer entering the Giving the Basics facility have an account and sign their online waiver.

  Attire: Please wear comfortable work clothing. Close-toed shoes are required. Please expect to be integrated into a working warehouse/outdoor environment. if you are working a pick-up day, dress appropriately and expect to be both inside and outside.

  Please notify us immediately if special accommodations are requested for members of your group. Thank you.

  When you arrive, Giving the Basics staff will be there to meet you. We'll get everyone signed in, have a short presentation about the agency, stroll through a quick warehouse tour, and then get to work.

  12:00noon - Lunch Served, Prizes, and Program | Each company is asked to bring a door prize(s) for our drawing. Please consider.

  COST:
  $70 per person (Filet medallions with a complementary sauce is the entree.)
  $310 / Half Table = 5 (Reserved)
  $620 / Full Table = 10 (Reserved)

  This event is the best celebration of the year. Our holiday luncheon is our largest fundraiser for the Electric League Scholarship Fund. $10 of each ticket is donated to the Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is available to all employees of an Electric League member and their children and grandchildren.

  >PARTICIPATE IN OUR HARVESTERS VIRTUAL FOOD DRIVE! Make a Monetary Donation to Harvesters at the Electric League's Virtual Food Drive You may shop on their site, or make a monetary donation. Due to changes at Harvesters they are no longer dropping barrels off for us to collect canned goods at our luncheon. Please do not bring canned goods to the luncheon. Please share this information with those attending. Last year over $1000 was raised! Let's top that number in 2026. Participate in our virtual food drive.
